An Clachan
(also known as the Harris Community Co-op) in Leverburgh, Isle of Harris, has come to my rescue a few times when I've needed some essentials and a few non-essentials... They sell a fantastic range of fresh fruit, veg, baking, wine and spirits, fish, meat, and loads of other grocery items. They even have 24/7 petrol and diesel pumps.
This Festive Season, they are helping support our local food, drink and craft producers from the islands. Anna and the team, have created a lovely accessible display along the main downstairs window, with a diverse range of produce from local businesses, including:
Flavour Chocolate
Morag's Tablet
Isle of Harris Beer
Wild Eve
Mustheb's Mustard
Temple's Marmalde
Right in the middle of her display you will find our Taste Harris Poster and Map, showing you where our local food and drink producers are!
Upstairs, there is a large display from local crafters, including scented candles, Harris tweed, t-shirts, cards, and so many more.
So if you find yourself stuck for a last minute gift, or maybe need some inspiration, why not pop along to An Clachan and help support our local businesses in Isle of Harris.
