Our Story
Loomshed Hebrides was founded with the same ethos as founders Jamie and Deenie McGowan’s other businesses, to create jobs and opportunities for local islanders for this generation and for those to come. With international ambitions to put the Isle of Harris on the culinary map, not only in Scotland and the UK but across the globe.
The first venture of the brand the Loomshed Hebridean Brewery, was closely followed by Loomshed Hebridean Deli .
Loomshed Hebridean Deli offers espresso coffee, traditional and herbal teas, sweet treats, freshly prepared sandwiches and hot lunch items with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. The Loomshed Deli also sell the best sausage rolls on the Island. With a large, dried goods and fresh produce section the deli also showcases a range of artisanal Scottish makers.

Fuel up for a picnic
Pick up a freshly made sandwich and a tasty traybake to bring with you on one of the stunning walks around Harris. Maybe, take a drive along to Scalpay and stroll down to the lighthouse where you can enjoy you delicious (and well deserved!) picnic lunch.
We also have a great selection of soft drinks and fruit juices. Or try our own Loomshed beer brewed on island.
