FRESH OFF THE CROFT
Our Story
Since the 1930’s when Croft 1 Rodel was built it has been associated fantastic home cooking and baking, using traditional recipes and methods.
We would now like to share these with a wider audience and Katag’s Kitchen operates from the croft offering a range of home cooked baking and food available for purchase on site.
Now the fourth generation of the family at 1 Rodel still use the original recipes, some of which have been updated for today’s tastes.
Catherine Macleod began the tradition having started baking at a young age, going on to cater for local events, weddings and of course her family.
Her daughter Katag Macmillian took over from her and continued in her footsteps enabling Kayreen and Katag’s grand-daughter Eilidh to use the old recipes and baking skills they learned as children.
We would love it if you would drop in to our newly purposed built cabin on the croft and enjoy some wholesome tastes made with love. Open daily except forSundays.
